Nazareth, Jesus boyhood home, is only a stones throw from Megiddo [Armageddon] where the final battle between heaven and earth will take place. Just a coincidence or planned from ages past. My God doesn't do ANYTHING by happenstance or chance. Every detail of our world was planned before we were conceived. Including the remedy for sin. Eternal damnation and consignment to the Lake of Fire. Separation from God, eternal torment. However you view it, the very idea is not a happy thought. I hope you have accepted God's gift to mankind, His Son Jesus, as your Savior. He [she] is no fool who gives up what they cannot keep for something they cannot lose. This means giving up this life in return for Eternal Life. There is no comparison. The old hymn says, When we've been there for 10,000 years we'll have no less days than when we had just begun. What an Amazing God and Heavenly Father. Praise and Bless His Holy Name and that of His Son and His Holy Spirit. Amen... -bk

Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro Brazil...

A statue of Christ the Redeemer is located at the top of Corcovado Mountain at a height of 710 meters or about 2000 feet high from sea level. The Statue of Christ the Redeemer is certainly one of the world's best known and most visited monuments. It represents Jesus standing with outstretched, welcoming arms and is one of the most famous symbols of this lively city.

The entire monument of statue of Christ the Redeemer is 38m high [105 feet] with the statue accounting for 30m, the span from finger tip to fingertip is 28m and there is a small chapel housed in the base. As a vantage point it offers superb views of downtown Rio de Janeiro, the bay, Sugarloaf Mountain and Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches. The monument of statue of Christ the Redeemer was inaugurated on the day of Our Lady of Aparecida, 12 Oct 1931 by then President of Brazil, Getúlio Vargas and cardinal Dom Sebastião Leme .

The original design of statue of Christ the Redeemer Brazil was done by a Brazilian, named Heitor da Silva Costa. He was also the engineer in charge of the construction. He shared the project with French sculptor Paul Landowski. It was built from 1926 to 1931, with funds raised from donations. There's a chapel for 150 people on the base of the statue.

Statler Brothers Lyrics
The King Is Coming
written by William J. [Bill] Gaither

I can hear the chariots rumble
I can see the marching throng
The flurry of God's trumpets
Spells the end of sin and wrong
Regal robes are now unfolding
Heaven's grandstand's all in place
Heaven's choir is now assembled
Start to sing Amazing Grace.

O the King is coming
The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
O the King is coming
The King is coming
Praise God, He's coming for me.

Happy faces line the hallways
Those whose lives have been redeemed
Broken homes that He has mended
Those from prison He has freed
Little children and the aged
Hand in hand stand all aglow
Who were crippled, broken, ruined
Clad in garments white as snow.

O the King is coming
The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
O the King is coming
The King is coming
Praise God, He's coming for me.

O the King is coming
The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
O the King is coming
The King is coming
Praise God, He's coming for me.

Praise God, He's coming for me.
Praise God, He's coming, He's coming for me...

Drinking at The Springs of Living Water

Springs of Living Water
Music and Words by John W. Peterson

"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters:
and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."
Revelation 7:17

I thirsted in the barren land of sin and shame,
And nothing satisfying there I found;
But to the blessed cross of Christ one day I came,
Where springs of living water did abound.

Drinking at the springs of living water,
Happy now am I, my soul they satisfy;
Drinking at the springs of living water,
O wonderful and bountiful supply.
How sweet the living water from the hills of God,
It makes me glad and happy all the way;
Now glory, grace and blessing mark the path I've trod,
I'm shouting Hallelujah every day.

Drinking at the springs of living water,
Happy now am I, my soul they satisfy;
Drinking at the springs of living water,
O wonderful and bountiful supply.
O sinner, won't you come today to Calvary?
A fountain there is flowing deep and wide;
The Saviour now invites you to the water free,
Where thirsting spirits can be satisfied.

Drinking at the springs of living water,
Happy now am I, my soul they satisfy;
Drinking at the springs of living water,
O wonderful and bountiful supply.
